Numerous towns and cities have flourished in the states of Indian subcontinent. In this regard the state of Uttar Pradesh also is not an exception. Amongst several places one can easily distinguish the significance of Kheragarh. In fact Kheragarh is an example of a nagar panchayat town. It has its location in the district of Agra of Uttar Pradesh state of India.
Without discussing the demography of any town or place it is not possible for a person to get a complete picture about the town of Kheragarh. After carrying on several surveys and research works the demographers have been successful enough in throwing light on certain aspects of its demography.
In this matter, the Census report of a particular year deserves mentioning. Being issued forth in the year 2001, it has documented demographical data viz. population rate, literacy status. As per the record, the total population of Kheragarh has been measured to be 17,859. The usual trend in India is that the number of females are less in number than that of females. This phenomenon too is reflected in this Census report as well. Thus male populace constitutes of 54 percent while the population of females is 46 percent only. In the town of Kheragarh, children who are below six years of age constitutes of 18 percent of the total population.

Males are oriented to education and it has been rightly proved by the high male literacy rate. In other words, rate of male literacy constitutes of 68 percent. Female literacy rate less thereby constitutes of 49 percent only.
From the perspective of the district of Agra, more information has been collected. Since this Kheragarh town forms an integral part of the district it is evident that majority of people who are residing here too follow the same tradition. As far as their occupation is concerned, they have adapted to various agricultural activities. The crops that are amply produced here include wheat, barley, gram, peas, masoor, arhar, mustard, rice, bajra, corn. Major industrial units that have been established in this district produce things like Electrical Goods, Fans, Pipes, C.I. Casting, Floor, Leather Goods and Shoes, Steel Rolling, Packing, Milk Products.
