Chhaprauli is a small district in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh It is situated in the north of Baghpat and 12 Km. west of Kishanpur Baral.This ancient town was founded by the Jats in the eighteenth centur.
This small town has a good communication network .The nearest access points for Chhaprauli are the Kishanpur Railway station and the Indira Gandhi International Airport.Baraut which is located 15 Km. south of Chhaprauli is an ideal tourist destination .
There are many beautiful churches ,mosques and Hindu and Jain temples which attracts a lot of tourists every year.Perched at a height of 240 metres(787 feet) above sea level ,it is located at latitude of 29.22° North and longitude of 77.18° East.
According to the census report of 2001 ,it has a population of 17,795 where the males constitute 54% of the population and females 46% of the population .15% of the population is under six years of age.The town has an average literacy rate of 56% which is lower than the national standard set at 59.5%.Male literacy rate is 66% and female literacy rate is 43%.
