Islamnagar is a small town and Nagar Panchayat located in the district of Badaun of Uttar Pradesh. Strategically, the town of Islamnagar is positioned at a height of 189 metres that is around 620 feet above the mean sea level. Geographically, the town is located between 28 degree 33 minutes north latitude and 78 degree 72 minutes east longitude.
The population of Islamnagar is quite low. According to the 2001 Census report of India the total population of Islamnagar is around 26,055. Male population accounts for 52 percent and female population accounts for nearly 48 percent of the total population of this city. In Islamnagar, around 20 percent of the population is less than six years of age. Further, as per the Census report of 2001, literacy rate of Islamnagar is nearly 40 percent. This percentage is quite lower as compared to the national average literacy rate of 59.5 percent. To be specific, the literacy rate among the male population of Islamnagar is 47 percent and the female literacy rate of this town is 32 percent.
