Located in the Kheri district of the northern state of India, Uttar Pradesh, Dhaurehra is a prominent town that lies between the Sarda and the Ghagra rivers. Strategically located in the eastern part of Kheri, it is equidistant from the two important cities - Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh and Shahjahanpur,an important industrial townof Uttar Pradesh.
On the east of Dhaurehra is Lakhimpur, the seat of administration of Kheri district. Dhaurehra is well connected by rail and airways with nearby towns and the rest of the town. Lakhimpur Railway Station and Amausi Airport are the nearest railway station and airport.

Dhaurehra is worth visiting for its nearby attractions. The Frog Temple at Oyal, is an attraction in the vicinity the base of which is built in the shape of a frog. It is a stone temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Dudhwa National Park, renowned for the Barasingha or the swamp deer and the Katarniaghat Sanctuary are ideal tourist destinations.
