Quite a handful of towns and cities have developed in the heart of Indian subcontinent, thereby drawing attention of several historians and geographers. In the state of Uttar Pradesh also there is no paucity of towns and places. Amongst them, Kailashpur deserves to be special mentioning. Kailashpur is a census town. It is situated in the district of Saharanpur of the same state of India.

As far as the occupation is concrened, the people of the whole of Saharanpur district undertakes agricultural activities as their prime source of sustenance. Taking clue from the information about Saharanpur district , it can be said that the same trend has been followed in Kailashpur town as well. Saharanpur district is primarily an agricultural area.
