Divine Diu
The tiny island Diu finds its mention even in the great epic Mahabharata. As legend goes, Pandavas had stayed a few days at Mani Nagar during their exile, which was under the Yadavas led by Krishna Vasudeva. According to mythology, Diu used to be ruled by the great king Jallandhar who was a demon and was killed by Lord Vishnu with his Sudarshan Chakra. The temple of Jallandhar still bears the testimony of this historical incident. The sprawling Diu Fort and Fortino do Mer command the panorama with the flourishing heritage of the Portuguese. Alluring and serene beaches create more magic and charm to Diu.
