The Sharmishta Lake
The vast, oval shaped Sharmishta lake is located in north-east direction connecting Arjun-Bari and Amarthol gates. The lake is a unique engineering marvel that enables the water influx from other neighbouring lakes and water bodies. The huge lake has a centrally located bet (an island), on which recently Gujarat Government has built an amphitheatre. The lake is also housing a small Sati temple in the centre.
