Bhuj Swaminarayan Mandir

Bhuj Swaminarayan Mandir

Hello, friends Another Beautiful Temple in Gujarat.this Mandir is very famous to kutch and i am visit this mandir is 2007 in my college arrange tour in all kutch temple and places.

About Bhuj City:-

The total population of Bhuj it’s was 136,429 in the year 2008, which consisted of 71,056 males and 65,373 females. The total number of houses was 27,992 .Bhuj is one of the six places where Lord Shree Swaminarayan constructed the temple Himself. This divine thought of Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan alone signifies the vast amount of spirituality the land of Kutch offered not only in the past but even today.

The Gujarat Earthquake of January 2001 destroyed much of the city of Bhuj, including the side of the temple facing north which was built by Lord Shree Swaminarayan. Miraculously the divine idols remained as they were, without any damage whatsoever.

The Temple History:-

However after a mutual Agreement between Acharya Maharajshree, Saints and the devotees from all corners of the globe and given the circumstances of the irreparable damage to the original temple building, it was decided that the idols would be housed inside a new grand temple. It was collaboratively resolved to construct this new temple a short distance away from the original site

The Bhuj Swaminarayan new temple is being built at a cost of 1 billion Indian Rupees (100 crore) on 5 acres (20,000 m2) of land. Made in marbel,The intricate carvings adorn the pillars and ceiling of the most expensive temple to be built in the Indian state of Gujarat recently. the new temple is being built of only marble and gold. The throne for the idol of Swaminarayan,The temple domes and doors will be of gold whiles the pillars and ceilings will be made of marble. The peripheries, which are beautifully carved into the icy marble of Makrana and Ambaji, give it heavenly beauty, serenity and the divine approach to the temple.

Lord Shree Swaminarayan was always attracted by the divine attributes of the devotees of Bhuj. After his appointment as the spiritual leader of the whole Sampraday, He visited Bhuj in the month of Maha Sud 7 Samvat 1860. He spent 32 years of His total lifespan in Gujarat and visited Kutch more than 20 times As a result of His frequent visits, a series of inspirational devotees realised that He was none other than the Supreme Purshottam Narayan Himself. Lord Shree Swaminarayan had graced this temple in the western belt of India and had Himself installed the idols of Narnarayan Dev and Hari-Krishna Maharaj.
