In the state of Orissa, one can easily come across Patnagarh. It is the name of a town and also a notified area committee. It has its location in the district of Balangir of the same state of India.

Special attraction is the Pataneswari temple whose origin dates back to the fourteenth century. Ramai Deo, the 1st Chauhan ruler, constructed it. Primitive monuments also are built here. They also have drawn the attention of the tourists. For facilitating accessibility, Patnagarh is well connected by railways. Balangir Railway Station lies in the vicinity.
