The Tungarli Lake is basically the main source of the drinking water to the town of Lonavala. The water in this lake is crystal clear during the time of the monsoon. The hill on which the lake is situated gives a magnificent view of the Lonavala city; the night lighting of the city just betters the view from the lake.
