Monastery is situated in 12 Kms north of Kaza in the Spiti valley. At an altitude of 13500 feet. People from all over the world come to visit Kye monastery. This is religious place for the buddhists.
The archetectural style of the monastery having beautiful painting really attracts the visitors a lot.
Monatery have vrious collection of weapons which were used to defend the monastery from the attackers in the back century.
