| For science buffs, the Allahabad Planetarium or the Jawahar Planetarium located by the side of the Anand Bhawan is a wonderful place to visit. It came up in 1979 with the purpose to promote and popularize scientific thinking. It is open on all days except Monday and there are five shows daily describing the features and wonders of the space and astronomy. You can see the moon model and weigh yourself on the Moon and planets like Jupiter. However, only children above 5 years are allowed. |
