Visapur fort is perched atop a hillock at a height of 3565ft above the sea level. It is located right opposite the Lohagad fort. The fort is less frequented when compared to the other forts in the surrounding areas.
Once you reach the fort, there are lots of water tanks and the ponds which were built to serve as water sources to the fort. Shivaji maharaj used to stay in this fort to keep an eye over the other forts and the surrounding plains. The trek to this fort is a real test of endurance.
