The Koregad fort is located around 24 km away from Lonavala situated in the Ambavane village. The fort is constructed on an isolated hill and does not have any connection to other hillocks in the vicinity. To reach the top of the fort, you have to trek for almost an hour. The view and the scenic beauty from the top take your breath away. Within the fort, there are pristine fresh water ponds while the grandeur of the ruins of the fort conjures up the magnificence and luxurious life of the royal in that era.
