Aurangabad Caves

Aurangabad Caves

Aurangabad-1063_1.jpg
The Aurangabad Caves were crafted from soft rock during the 6th and 7th century. These ten caves are separated into two different locations, the Western Group Caves and Eastern Group Caves, which are located 1 km apart. The imagery is crafted by Tantric Hinduism. These caves sport a variety of images including an early type of Buddhist monastery, statues of Buddha supported by Ganesha and forms of barely clad and bejeweled women.
