| Amrutanjan Point, at the beginning of the Khandala Ghat, is a flat space which offers a bird’s-eye view of the valley and the Dukes Nose in particular. The pointed cliff in this region resembled the shape of the nose of the Duke of Wellington and thus, it came to be called the "Duke’s Nose". It also goes by the name of "Nagfani" (hood of the snake), as the cliff also resembles the hood of the snake. Untouched and not marred by commercialization, Amrutanjan Point is abundant with natural beauty and pristine surroundings. Located high up in Khandala, the Amrutanjan Point provides an excellent view of the places nearby. Go here for a quiet outing with your family or your partner- the view is really breathtaking and the surrounding areas are lush and extremely pretty. If you’re travelling alone, take a small picnic basket, a nice book to read and let yourself get lost amidst the beautiful valley and the exhilarating freshness that is Amrutanjan Point. |
