The crumbling Rajbari (meaning palace) at Jalpaiguri is a popular sightseeing spot for both tourists and locals.

The palace ground comprises of the large palace building, its portico, a bushy garden, and two temples. The palace gate at Rajbari is possibly the world's largest unreinforced concrete arch structure.

There are several lakes in Rajbari Palace ground. Once the abode of the Raikats, the kings of Baikunthapur estate, the Jalpaiguri palace is now crumbling. The government has taken over the palace pond called the “Rajbari Dighi”, and converted its surroundings into a lovely garden which is worth visiting
