Dedicated to Lord Krishna, the Guruvayurappan temple is the center of activities here. Lord Krishna is worshipped here in his many forms including the prominent Infant Krishna. This ornate idol of Lord Krishna has been sculpted in Patala Anjana, a rare stone with four arms bearing a lotus, mace, conch and discus. The roof and two doors are covered in pure gold leaf while the highlight of the 13 tiers of Deepastambam that is lighted every night. Other idols included in the temple are of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Durga and Lord Ayappa.
