Captain Baileys Dungeon

Captain Baileys Dungeon
The fortress which was called after the death of Colonel Bailey is Captain Bailey's Dungeon. He passed away in 1780 A.D. The fortress is built of Mortar and bricks with the mearsurement of 30.5 metre X 12.2 metre. This place is where the King Tipu sultan imprisoned his prisinors during the war. During the period of military blockade, a huge cannon rolled back hitting the ceiling of this dungeon, and this can still be seen here. On the wall of the fortress, you can also find the hooks of the prisoners to which they were chained.
