An old fort, the Kondapalli Fort sits atop on a hillock and its establishment date is still under debate. Some historians credit its creation to King Krishna Deva Raya in the 7th century; which was later on renovated under the Qutub Shahis. Other historians claim it to have been built in 14th century by the Reddy kingdom's founder, Prolaya Vema Reddi. The highlights of the fort are the Rock Tower of three stories and the Dargah of a Persian Saint, Gareeb Saheeb. The village is famous for its 'Kondapally Toys'and is an ideal place for picnicking and relaxation.
