The palace of the Manikya dynasty of Tripura, the Ujjayanta Palace is now an Assembly House of Tripura. This magnificent palace was built in the year 1899 by the king Radhakishore Manikya Bahadur.

Designed as a blend of Greek, Roman and Mughal style of Architecture, the palace building is a two storied mansion with three high domes, magnificent tiled floors, curved wooden ceilings and beautifully crafted doors. The palace is set with huge Mughal style gardens, beautified by pools and gardens and tiled floors.

The Ujjayanta palace complex is surrounded by several temples of Lakshmi-Narayan, Uma-Maheshwari, Kali and Jagannath.
