| In front of Mahabodhi Temple is the Ajapala Nigrodha tree, where Gautam Buddha spent his fifth week of meditation. This tree was planted by a shepherd boy to shield the Lord. Under this tree, Buddha answered the various questions raised by learned old Brahmins regarding general conduct and religion. The Buddhists followers and tourists visit this place. |
