With a population of about 18,688 and a literacy rate of about 66% according to the 2001 census, Chandili is a census town in Rayagada district in the eastern state of Orissa. Here males constitute 51% of the population and females constitute 49% of the population while the population below six years of age is 12%. The average literacy rate of this town for male is 74% while the female literacy rate is 56%
