Ghorawal is a town in Sonbhadra district of the northern state of India, Uttar Pradesh. It is located between 24.77° North latitude and 82.78° East longitude at an average elevation of 303 metres (994 feet) above mean sea level.
According to the 2001 census report, Ghorawal had a small population of 6478 inhabitants. Males constitute 54% of the population and females constitute 46% of the population. In Ghorawal, 18% of the population is less than six years of age. The town has an average literacy rate of 59% which is slightly lower than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 69% and the female literacy rate is 47%.
