Do visit the Farangi Mahal, a prominent 18th century Islamic institution that was a dominant feature of Islamic studies. It belonged to a Frenchman, who had to give up his entire business and house to the Mughal ruler as per the royal decree. During the reign of Aurangzeb, this elegant house was allotted to Mullah Asad bin Qutab Shaheed, the religious consultant and his brother Mullah Asad bin Qutabuddin Shaheed. It became an Islamic center and school that was known throughout the kingdom. Today it stands as a mute testimony of the Islamic culture and preserves the heritage of the bygone era.
