Alamgir Mosque, situated on the river bank of Ganges was constructed by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. It is believed that a Lord Krishna temple was destroyed and the mosque was built by Mughals during their invasion. The Alamgir Mosque has a picturesque location and faces Panchganga Ghat. The mosque's architectural style is a perfect combination of Persian and Hindu styles. The turrets, carved pillars and the marvelous domes of the mosque are very imposing.
