| Toranmal is about 260 km out of Indore. It is one of the less explored tourist destinations and has miraculously remained hidden from public view. Toranmal is a trekkers Paradise and has the most delightful walking meadows, innumerable viewpoints, rain-fed waterfalls, caves as well as a beautiful lake. Toranmal is a small plateau, which spans an area of about 41 sq. km. The soccer shaped plateau has a stream that flows across it from south to north. In the southern part of the plateau, the stream is bounded and forms the lovely Yashawant Lake, which spans an area of 1.59 sq. km. The Yashawant Lake is one of the chief attractions out here. The clear deep waters of the lake are ideal for boating and fishing. Find yourself a quiet spot and spend a lazy afternoon fishing and drinking in the beauty of the hills. There is nothing much to do here except go for long walks and explore the mysteries of the hills beyond. |
