| If you are visiting Nashik, a visit to the beautiful Muktidham temple would be well worth your time and effort. Situated in the suburbs of Nashik, the temple is a magnificent piece of temple architecture, made out of pure Makrana marble and created by skilled Rajasthani sculptors. Almost all the gods and goddesses of the Hindu Pantheon are enshrined here and you will even find replicas of the 12 Jyotirlingas of India. What's most fascinating is that the 18 chapters of the Bhagavad-Gita are engraved on the interior walls of the temple. Though the temple is relatively young, it is believed that a holy Darshan of this shrine provides as much virtue as a visit to the four pilgrimage centers or dhams. This makes the beautiful temple a crowded pilgrim center. |
