Ravindra Kanan is another beautiful splendid house built for Ravindranath Tagore, a friend of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya who had a fondness of building palaces for himself and for his close circle of friends in the academic and literary fields. The palace is known for its lush large green gardens, lawns and fountains. A special lounge was constructed for Ravindranath so that he could ponder and muse among nature, for ideas in order to weave literary marvels.
