| One of the most significant religious places and evidence of the Buddhism religion in the region is the Buddha Temple (Buddha Mandir) which was constructed in 1946. It is situated in the center of the city. The two exquisite idols of Bodhisattva and Buddha, said to be of Burmese origin were transferred from the Royal Palace to this temple. A place to mingle with the spiritual and is enhanced by the lovely flowers and gardens within the premises of the temple. |
