Snake Boat Race or Vallam Kali:
During Onam these long boat races take place in the waters of the Pamba River. The Aranmula Boat Races are another way of reflecting the tradition and culture of Kerala. The special boats made during this time are called snake boats which have around 100 boatmen who row the boats amidst great enthusiasm.
