| The Theosophical Society was founded by Madame Blavatsky and Col. Olott in USA in 1875 and became a global organization. The center at Adyar was formed in 1882 and is a hub for historical and literary information. The library is well stocked with rare literature while some oriental books are preserved on parchments and palm leaves. |
