| About 25 km from Margoa is the Jama Masjid. Situated in Sanguem the Masjid was renovated in 1959 as it was deteriorating. Presently the masjid is simply elegant and is a remarkable sight with its two beautiful towers which flank the entrance fa?ade and surrounded by four striking minars. Another notable feature here is the done shaped cabin which rises from the centre of the minars. Almost all Muslim festivals are celebrated here with much devotion and harmony. |
